Our Work

From personal tragedy to powerful advocacy - Kourtney's journey of helping others
Kourtney's Fire Story
From Tragedy to Triumph

Kourtney's Fire Journey

When Kourtney Reppert lost her home in a devastating fire, she faced the harsh reality of being denied help when she needed it most. This life-changing experience opened her eyes to the systemic failures that leave vulnerable people - especially women and children - without support during their darkest moments.

Instead of letting this tragedy define her, Kourtney transformed her pain into purpose. She founded Kourtney Kares to ensure that no one else would have to face what she experienced - being abandoned by the very systems designed to help.

"FEMA denying me while I'm homeless... And that's a problem for me. Being taxed on money you are already taxed on... They leave us with NOTHING."

This personal experience became the foundation for everything Kourtney Kares stands for today.

Personal Experience

From Victim to Advocate

Being abandoned and getting no help, no assistance, but shamed and called every name while I sacrifice everything - which his father got off all responsibilities for $473 a month, put me in a poverty position while he denied his own son for the fact he wasn't man enough to be a father.

"I've been stalked and have 400 death threats from my stalker, whole FBI report will be in the book. Yes I've been through it."

So this isn't just with heart, it's with first hand experience — and I'm not a victim. I am a women who can finally use her voice, for change over the horrible treatment I've endured by society in a world that tells women to sit down and stay quiet, even after all the laws and rules against women, have been lifted.

The Fight Continues

Understanding why this work is so important in the context of women's rights history

Women's Rights Timeline

1848
Married Women's Property Act (New York)

Women gained the right to own property - a basic human right.

1920
19th Amendment - Right to Vote

Women granted the right to vote after decades of struggle.

1994
Violence Against Women Act

Federal resources to combat violence against women.

2025
Kourtney Kares - Continuing the Fight

Using personal experience to advocate for systemic change.

Why This Matters Today

"I was born in 86. Women barely have been free citizens. Women have only been able to vote for a little over a hundred years yet... and how long has society been around? Unacceptable but at least it's progress."

So yea Kourtney Kares, knows just how much change needs to happen. A perfect time in history to be that voice for American mothers and children, especially being an autistic with extreme ADHD, which they call 2e and being forced to take all kinds of tests.
